# Port congestion contingency planning: what are your backup routes?

Recent disruptions have made single-route planning risky. We want to compare notes on contingency plans.

- Do you pre-book alternate ports or carriers, or switch when the problem hits?
- How much extra lead time do you build into quotes now?
- Which documents or approvals are hardest to switch at short notice?

Sharing a route map that has held up under stress would be very useful.
